Peacock exclusive playoff game is stupid

Bad move by the league. Quit being greedy and keeping your customers from watching your product.

Surely they wont put Mahomes in that game but who knows.

And I'm not one for slippery slope arguments due to one inconvenience, but if one day it's going to require Prime and Peacock to watch the playoffs, and NFLN... then FFS just start charging people to watch your shit instead of subscription services that you have to sign up for and then cancel, or at the very least put it all on ESPN+ and leave people the **** alone who just want to pay for Peacock without sports ruining the price just like cable (because you know the price will go up for this).

And stay off my lawn.
This is where I stand. The last time I looked, the NFL had an ad-riddled mostly useless website that's not nearly as user-friendly as other football websites. Put up a subscription on that jalopy and people will pay for it.

The fact that they're trying to create a ton of "partnerships" only says that a) they're creating a lot of middlemen who will each jack up the price against the best interest of the NFL's customers, and b) part of that money is going back to the NFL, which is now making excess profit from their customers.

It's a bad system and it's only going to get worse. We as NFL fans need to stop it by boycotting games that are being held for ransom.

I can tell you if the Chiefs weren't playing, they wouldn't get a dime. Sane with that garbage Bills Chargers game they showed.

Looks like it’s not, although I’m curious if they’ll be showing it on the big screens at Universal City Walk here.

Roger is a shiny object guy. He will chase the $s wherever he can find them. Want to **** over a bunch of fans? Sure, let's flex that Sunday afternoon game to Monday night on a few days notice even if people had travel plans. The NFL wants to grow in Europe so let's take a home game away, nevermind how that impacts tourist revenue.

I'm not quite understanding what you are saying. Acceptable? What would you be meaning by that? Is it unacceptable to not want to pay a streaming service to see a game in real time?

Certainly, you aren't saying that you are a better fan because another fan doesn't want to pay for another streaming service? Are you saying that because that exactly what it sounds like. The small amount doesn't matter. The idea that games should move to PPV is only born out of a radio/TV company's greediness to further nickel and dime the consumer.

Nah, fam. I'm not that stupid or desperate for a corporation to make me think I'm actually going to miss out on something if I don't pay to see a sporting event. If that makes me less of a fan in your eyes, oh well. That only means something to you, certainly not me.

It's essentially how I feel. I don't appreciate having to agree to a PPV arrangement if my team is successful.

I already pay for Sunday ticket and only get about 75% of the games with that.

I mean, does Peacock think people will pay them $5.99 for a month and then go "You know, they did such a good job with that football game, I think I'll keep it and watch some TV Shows and movies"?

Hopefully fans outside of KC and Miami boycott that shit..

Yes. That's the same reason HBO used to have free preview weekends on cable way back in the day. You see something you like and hopefully they entice you to subscribe long term.

Peacock wants you to see that they have soccer and golf and baseball and motorcross and auto racing and movies and WWE and hopefully something will catch your eye to keep you subscribed long term.
