I like how Lyle and Eric think this talk about what happened in 2010 means something today. You guys were in a discussion due to the collective coat tails of Nebraska, OU, and aTm being (not quite) strong enough even to carry the dead weight.

Actually I'm with PB on this one.
I think Kansas belongs in a midwest conference playing against schools they've competed with before I was born. Missouri and Nebraska destroyed that tradition so I can see why the KU administration feels the need to maintain their position in college athletics. Having a fall back to the Big 10 is nice. The Pac-12 simply isn't feasible for a majority of the KU alumni and no one wants to be stuck in the trailer park that is the SEC. Adding Kansas and Oklahoma to the ACC would work in "some ways" but I don't see it as the pinnacle that could be achieved by these schools. Adding KU and OU to the Big 10 and all of a sudden the best football conference in America also becomes the best basketball conference in America. Having everyone look up at you is tough but programs like KU and OU have been experiencing this for decades. I wish this wasn't how it had to be but at the end of the day it's just sports and I want to party with my friends and watch big-time matchups. The SEC is trash and the PAC12 doesn't work with my schedule. It's good to be King. |
