Not so sure of that . HCBS is on the record as saying he expects players to be up front and report immediately when shit like this happens. That's the rule Jackson broke. If Jackson had let Self know from the very start, it's not a deal at all. Keep it to yourself, and this is what happens. Self had no choice given the Star's coverage and the statements he has made. I'm just glad it came out now and not later.

Josh needs to tell coach right away. That is what my college coaches used to always tell me. They better hear it first from me. Why wait? If this would have came out second week of NCAA Tournament, we are screwed.

Can't say I believe that. If anything, this suspension was designed to get the Star off the program's back. Self isn't suspending one of the team's best players for backing into a parked car if the game meant a damn thing.

Seriously, **** the Star...this bullshit aint nothing compared to the fake classes that North Carolina had and they still have not been punished for clear fake class violations. I think the NCAA has been just slow rolling that stuff so that everyone forgets.

I think all of this stuff on the KU players has been bullshit

The Big 12 moved the conference championship game to Saturday because a couple of times the league had teams that felt they missed out on #1 & #2 (and maybe #3) seeds because the committee finalized the brackets while the championship game was taking place on Sunday. It also caused teams to miss out on being placed in regions with desirable venues. I don't remember what the league's official reasoning was for moving the championship game, but I feel pretty confident that seeding and placement played a large part in that decision.

Whether the Sunday game really effected the seeding and/or placement of the teams participating in the game, is debatable. But as a Jayhawk fan I know I felt like we got sent to regions that didn't match what our seeding dictated, in favor of other teams that finished their conference tournament before selection Sunday.

I don't think the Kansas City Star played any role in Self's decision.

The Star apparently thinks it's got some Woodward and Bernstein level stuff going on, but I think most people (especially people not named Kevin Keitzman) see it for exactly what it is, which is clickbait reporting.

It had nothing to do with backing into a car. It had everything to do with not providing his contact information and leaving the scene of an incident. Not only that, but not telling Self about it either as soon as he had the opportunity to do so.

I have TWC, and the games are on ESPN2 today. Right now, my ESPN2 has sound but no picture. Is anyone else experiencing this? Hoping it gets fixed before basketball starts.
