I have read a couple of places that the issue with the Saber could be he / she / whomever isn't a fully realized Sith yet and didn't know how to actually construct a saber. Could also be why it looks different then the other sabers. Like it is overcharged and not as cylindrical of a blade.

Also, I would think the guard system can be manipulated so if he gets into a close in lock up with an enemy the one side of the guard can be lowered so he doesn't poke his eye out.

Or it could be a well known character who is tired of getting his hand loped off in battle.

None of this is true.

This is a new dark side Force user (of which I've been told there are more than one). Some of the leaked art matches his saber and it's just another design, like Maul or The Inquisitor.

This is a gross oversimplification.

First off, Ewan McGregor and Liam Neeson were very good. Christopher Lee, Rose Byrne, Natalie Portman, Kiera Knightly and Ian McDiarmid were very good as well (before the transformation).

The biggest issue with the prequels were execution, editing and the hiring of Christensen. Almost anyone would have been more believable.

Not sure how I feel about that trailer. Need to watch it on something bigger than my kindle.

And the problems with the prequels were that they held no real theatrical/thematic connection to the original trilogy and did virtually none of the things that made those films timeless classics. The prequels were boring, overwrought, overproduced and just generally bad movies. Not just bad star wars movies, but bad movies overall. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about any of them unless you were either a child at the time and didn't/don't know better, or you were such a fanatic about the star wars film universe that you'd be fine with 6 hours of bullshit as long as you got a handful of omg moments that we're in any way connected with the OT.

All this is opinion of course, though I've phrased it as fact...

The best way to watch that abortion is the fan cut where they reduce all 3 to 1 movie.

And Christensen had nothing on Jake Lloyd. All iterations of Anakin were awful.

The one good thing to me was Maul. They found a bag guy even more menacing than Vader, up'ed his bad ass by going double bladed, then kill him in the first movie.

Then prequel 2 is full of war robots as stupid as any of the three stooges. WTF? The greatest evil in the universe builds an army of robots and then programs them to be dumb as **** and show fear?...

It didn't help that the writing was absolutely abominable. When Ewan McGregor and Natalie Portman are delivering wooden lines, the problems go well beyond the actors.

Nuggets from Obi Wan:
