Romeo's press conference was revealing if you take a look at it. Nothing that we didn't already know, but here was the head coach of the team basically admitting that no change on this team, be it a position player or a coach, would make the same impact as changing the QB, because the QB is the one that has the most impact on the overall team. He basically said what everyone wanted to hear Pioli say last week, which is that the QB is the most important position on your football team and dictates what happens elsewhere.

In a roundabout way I took it as him also implying that Matt wasn't the answer, and he's really not sure that Quinn is the answer either, but that was the one position where a change would have a chance to impact the entire team, and since these were the guys he had at his disposal, he was going to make the change and see what happened. Basically it seems like he knows that without a QB he isn't going to win squat, and his only hope is that the team rallies around Quinn and Quinn plays to a level he's never played before. Because he doesn't seem to have any other answers...

Just give Quinn 5 games and if no spark has occurred, give Stanzi 5 games.

Let that decide if either can stay on to be the backup next year.

If both look like shit, start from scratch in the offseason.
