We really won't give Branden some Duane Brown money? Why the **** wouldn't we? Well I guess we get a guy that we can hope will be as good, and then throw him away when he's "too expensive". SMFH

If the NfL commisioned some company to make draft day cologne for all 32 teams, KC's fragrance would be somewhere between "wet fart" and "soiled Depends".

Because he's not Duane Brown.

I am thinking injury concerns and lack of what they perceive as good options at 1.1 are leading to this. Outside of LT there might be no one they feel is worth that pick so to draft one a keep Albert would be foolish. Their other issue is that there is no one worth trading up for so they are stuck where they are since no one will give up a ton for a player that might be good but is anything but elite, unlike last year's draft.

We don't really know what Albert is in a traditional pass first offense. Obviously, the Chiefs don't think much of it.

I don't know that an offense that is pass first is traditional, but I've listed some of the rumored concerns the Chiefs have with him.

Even I'll say that he's not worth Duane Brown money.

Yeah, instead of him giving up 1 sack in 500+ attempts, he'll give up 1.3 in 600+ attempts.

We were obviously a run first, second and third team with our QB play. We've had a complete philosophical change. They obviously don't see Albert to fit in that role. |

Agreed, but if the goal is to win a championship he is good enough to do that with.
The CBA was redone to give vets more money and rookies less...and the cap is gonna go way up over the next 5-10 years because of the new tv deals. Unless Albert has a major injury concern, moving him to draft Joeckel doesn't make a lot of sense to me. |
