Game of Thrones (spoiler-free zone)
A few have suggested it, might as well test the waters. The idea is to give people who haven't read the books a safe place to talk about the show.
A few quick ground rules:

Her name is Obara Sand. And she comes from a long line of chiefs, stretching all the way back to hawaiiki... where our ancient ones are... the ones that first heard the land crying and sent a man.
But she was not the leader her grandfather was expecting... and by being born... she broke the line back to the ancient ones.

Well, Robert laid out exactly what would happen, right? That scene where he's talking to Cercei in a civil conversation. Literally the ONLY civil conversation they ever had. The "five or one" speech. Embedding prohibited but I found it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jcy37C5SN0M You should also remember that Varys (the Eunuch) has been working behind the scenes to help restore the Targaryens for quite some time -- even before Robert died. They would likely have other allies in Westeros.

Well, yes, but that isn't at all what he was saying/asking, was it? He was asking how the Dothraki could have succeeded in an invasion of Westeros.

They may very well have succeeded. I was just speaking on how impractical the Dothraki army would have been in laying siege on any fortress in Westeros. It likely would have been the Targaryen name or the dragons that actually won her back the throne.

Just a brief bit from actual world history -- when the Mongols conquered, they often identified skilled tradesman, engineers and the like, and impressed them into their army. As a result, they became very successful at sieges, actually. Winterfell gets surrounded and starved out. It's landlocked, so they're ****ed once the food runs out. King's Landing would be much tougher as it had access to open water. The dothraki, hating water, would struggle with that one.

Well, I cheated and watched the first 4 episodes, so now that everyone is up to date....I think Stannis is going to kick the bucket. Why? Because I'm starting to root for him.

That hug was the most emotion Stannis has shown in 4 seasons.

Hardly matters. The North would be last on their list anyway, most likely.
