Kentucky could have, but I think the ship has sailed on that team learning how to play together.

He's a freak athlete but his performance in the NCAAs will determine where he's drafted. If he plays without much issue, then no big deal. We shall see.

Or you could actually wait until you actually know what's going on with him instead of making definitive statements. Whichever is easier.

He's a freak athlete but his performance in the NCAAs will determine where he's drafted.

His performance in the NCAAs will have nothing to do with anything. Embiid is getting drafted #1 based on his enormous potential and whether he scores 10 points in some March basketball game in his freshman year won't have an impact on that.

With all selfishness aside, I really do think Embiid could benefit from another year. He could pack on 15 pounds of muscle without exposing himself to banging with the Brook Lopezes and Tyson Chandlers of the world.

Because right now, Boogie Cousins would destroy Embiid. Destroy him.

I think he just needs another year of letting his body mature. I know everyone says that the NBA can develop him, because all he has is basketball. But that's the problem. His body isn't ready for all basketball all the time.

He could use another 40* game season before jumping up to 82.

You could make that argument for just about everyone. A 2nd year of playing college basketball certainly wouldn't hurt, it will likely make him much better. But that's not a good enough reason for him to pass up the guarantee of the NBA right now and take that kind of risk.

For his sake, I hope he goes.
