Because the way they play is actually, get this, ENTERTAINING to watch. You can tell that those guys playing with Puerto Rico on the front of their jersey means more to them than playing with Cubs or Royals on the front. |

I read the whole quote, what he meant was that American baseball players, play like robots on the field and show some emotion in the locker room or on the field after the game is over.

The pussification of sports makes me vomit. It's competition and if you cant handle the other team celebrating a homerun, strikeout, amazing play, etc... then get the **** off the field.

And where are the soulless American players, there are plenty that show fiery emotion. This whole thing is ****ing reeruned, and should be permanently ignored.

I am not sure he's wrong. He says the passion is noticeably different. I don't think he's saying one is right over the other. And he's right. In the States if you make all these gestures and have these celebrations, people get plunked and such. Doesn't make it right, but that's American baseball, to not show up the opponent on the field.

I'm not sure that's what Kinsler is saying at all. He's saying that he hopes that the American's way of keeping it professional on the field should\could be appreciated as well. That's the way they were taught to play the ballgame, and that they are NOT playing without passion. In fact, he says it right there in his quote that he's not trying to take away from the way PR and the others play.

Absolutely. Last year we were at 147, and this year we (knock on wood) have a healthy Moose, Gordon, and hopefully Soler can add 20+.

David Dejesus retired today. Thought it was worth a mention(didn't see it if it was previously mentioned). Dude was one of the only Royals somewhat worth watching for a bit during some real lean years.
