duncan,
I actually thought about Seattle's draft position after I posted my post. You are right. Their 1 this year is essentially a high 2 and their 2 a high 3. And their 1 next year will likely be like a high 2. Given those parameters I would want even more from them then the aforementioned 1, 1 and 2. But that would make it even more impossible for Seattle to accept this trade. So the whole point is moot. However, if Reid thinks highly enough of Flynn to part with say our 3rd for him I would be willing to differ to his judgement and evaluation knowing full well that it is better than any on this board including myself. I know it would almost look like Piolli/Cassel.2, but I would take Reid's eval of QBs ten times before Piolli's. Especially if it's backed up by someone like Dorsey's. My only condition as a fan is Reid stays open minded about drafting another QB this year or next, if Flynn shows signs of not being THE GUY. His "Leaving egos at the door" comment is somewhat encouraging in that department. |

Frankie is one of those guys that only sees a good enough QB when he knows we can't get em.

At this point i'm really hoping team(s) fall in love with joeckel and want to trade up and get him. i'm full in favor of moving back a few spots and taking geno/tyler later.
This is all pre-combine adjustments, and IF they were looking like a slide down the top10 on draft day. |

I'll take Flynn for a swap of 5th round picks in the 2013 draft.
Outside of that, no ****ing way. |

Wow Taylor Lewan and Jake Mathews are staying in school, so now Luke Joeckel's value just went up.
Would not be surprised to see several teams trying to move up for this guy and trade with us, like the Rams. |

ESPN's Mel Kiper acknowledged on SportsCenter Thursday that Notre Dame ILB Manti Te'o is unlikely to be a top-five draft pick.
Kiper was recommending the Chiefs take Te'o first overall during the season, but he's snapped back to reality a bit. "(Inside linebackers) typically don't go in the top-five overall," Kiper conceded. "1993, Marvin Jones went fourth overall to the Jets. That very rarely happens. You see 8-11 for the middle linebackers last 10-12 years, have come off the board. If he gets in -- Te'o does -- into that 10-15 range, it could allow a team like the Baltimore Ravens, looking for the heir apparent to Ray Lewis, to jump up and get a guy like Manti Te'o." Kiper is now recommending the Chiefs take Texas A&M LT Luke Joeckel at No. 1. |
