Aye cap't.

May I refer to you as cap't? I myself have never sailed nor served but I always envisioned the first as enjoyable, the second as stressful, and the two together as a future Bruckheimer film.

They were playing an elite DL. That's what happened.

I probably should clarify as well. I have boated, several times in fact. None of these instances have been on what one could call a "sailing vessel".

Have to admit that Smith looked a lot like Cassel tonight....
If I see this shit during Week 1 at Jacksonville, then I'll flip my lid. For now, I'll keep a level head.

I cant believe anyone would compare him to casshole when smith never had time to set his feet and make a throw. The oline was horrid. Not smith. not to mention a big drop by baldwin

This is an interesting word to use here. Are you sure you'd like to phrase your sentence with it?

If so, I have a bet that I'd love to take you up on. If you'd be willing, of course.

Alex Smith and Cassel do have a lot of the same mental makeup. They differ in that Casshole couldn't hit the broad side of the barn even without a defense and Alex can be pretty accurate, but mentally they're very similar in some ways. It's a characteristic that lends itself towards getting tunnel vision under duress and having trouble seeing the field, feeling the action, and getting to 2nd reads. Their success depends on being overly prepared and having a good offensive system. The Casshole fared well in New England because he had a good offense and could hit a first read. Smith fared well under Harbaugh.
