Is Farcry 3 any good? I heard 4 is basically 3.5, so for 9 bucks that its on sale might be a good time to try it.

I dunno. 4 is great so if 3 is anything like it, give it a shot.

Oh shit... Look out man! Fanbois all over the place will start coming after you with pitchforks and shit to defend their stupid ****ing purchase. COD needs to go the **** away for two years and really put some effort into their shit. The campaigns used to be so great. 10+ hours of very good gameplay. Now? **** it, throw Kevin Spacey in there and do a bunch of QTE's. We need to get the ****ing thing out. JETPACKS!!! FUKYA |

I've owned every chapter since COD4:MW (Which IMO is the best one) and with each game (except ghosts) I could level up in MP pretty quickly and be competitive. Ghosts was just too monochromatic and the devices were confusing. I think I only played 2 hours of MP and ditched it. Really trying to give this one an honest try but the jumping shit is just clunky and vertigo-inducing to me. And the maps are just hub and spoke circles where you spawn and there's immediately an enemy walking up behind you or to the side half the time. I never played Destiny. Maybe I'll give that on a try once I get my PS4 set up. |

I've heard the same could be said about Destiny but from what I've seen, it does take a little strategy and at least there's a common goal and not each man for himself. |

Yeah I think my biggest drawback is I am a good strategist (good at knowing where the enemy is going to be, especially once I learn the maps) but I am shitty at aiming with a dual stick controller. Always have been. Often I get the drop on a guy and he head shots me before I can put enough lead into him. I don;t like the way the weapon obscures so much of the bottom of the screen, so I think I walk/run with it sighted down, so I have to move it that much further up and usually start shooting too early and shoot the legs, etc.

god, this jogged my memory and reminded my how much i LOVED Battlefield 3. holy shit I played that game for days on end. I finally soured after a good 6-8 months of it when hackers were rampant and took a break. but never got back into it. I think I still have it, I might need to fire it up. it was my first MP experience, though I never became truly awesome at a FPS.
man, when you get on a team that actually understands the entire concept of the game, it's magical; pure awesome. completely out-weighs the matches where your entire team run and guns / scatters, and is only worried about k/d. I remember one weekend we were either snowed in, or it was so brutally cold outside there was nothing to do but stay indoors. I ended up playing it for about 18 hours straight. randomly got onto a team that 'got it'. after a few matches, I got some friend requests from dudes on that team. That day, we stayed on the same team for probably 10 hours and it was incredible. Subsequent weeks were great as i would get an invite to matches from them when they would see i was online. god damn I loved that game lol. i loved playing a particular class how it should be played. Support was my favorite.

Advanced Warfare reminded me of how great Titanfall played. It's the superior game when it comes to level traversal and tightness of the gunplay. If only it had more content. Been seeing it for 5 bucks on PC which is a steal.

I really enjoyed Farcry 3. Definitely worth the 9 bucks, in my opinion. Wait for the steam winter sale in a few weeks and you can probably get it even less than 9 bucks.
