Whether or not the initial strain and the stress fracture are related, either KU didn’t know the severity the 2nd time around, or they were lying. Not that I’ll come down on them either way, I’m just saying what if he didn’t go to LA. I believe I also heard a quote from Self that Embiid feels fine now, but getting back on the court now would risk aggravating the fracture. No trip to LA = playing this weekend (IMHO).

Oh I admit, the fishing for problems began there but definitely morphed into something completely different by the end.

I didn't call them facts, I called it a timeline. Self may have called it a strain, but he was guessing, he's not the doctor. The press release said the second injury was RECONFIRMED as a stress fracture. They didn't find anything different from the initial report. Being specialists, they did recommend their rehab program over the one KU intially suggested. The diagnosis was the same, the prognosis differed.
