Somehow Duke goes down 9 midway through the 2nd half - doesn't foul at all - and wins. Wisky helped by taking terrible shots, but they got robbed though as well by horrible officiating. It's the offseason now, NCAA, time for a makeover for a horrible product.

Wisconsin had the momentum ... they scored 5 points in a row ... why on Earth put their best free throw shooter on the line when they were milking the clock?
Play for a stop. Worst case scenario ... they score a 2 and you're down 5 with 15 seconds and 2 timeouts. Fine. Collect yourselves. best case scenario ... you're down 3, with the ball, 15 seconds and 2 timeouts. Perfect. Such a dumb coaching decision. That was inexperience. |

Or ... wait until they feed Okafor the ball and if he gets position put him on the line ... that bozo would have made 1, tops, and that might even be pushing it

...instead, they unsuccessfully try and trap and when it doesn't work they foul a guy who doesn't ever miss free throws
I mean, come the **** on. How anti-climatic |

Hootie is trashing a guy that got his team through the hardest opponent run in history.
Sounds right. |

They just aren't capable of hitting those kind of shots. We also saw at the end there just how badly Duke's guards outclassed Wisconsin's from a talent perspective when the pacing of the game changed and got away from them.

The problem was Nigel Hayes fouled the wrong guy (and it looked like he did it inadvertently). But that's on him, not the coach. |
