I'll probably find the time to keep daily updated brackets in the thread. In the mean time, who do you have winning it all? Kentucky a lock? Teams lose. So I don't think so. I truly believe undefeated hurts you going into The Dance.

Virginia's head coach Tony Bennett comes from Wazzu and I remember being happy the day he left even though I wondered why Virginia? Not rooting for them. I really don't know.

I expect Kansas to not make the sweet 16 potentially. Definitely not a championship contender (which would make it all the sweeter should they defy the odds).

For sure, but most of those guys just don't have the necessary skill to get quick easy shots like that. They play the way they do for a reason. Although they were honestly pretty rattled down the stretch, which didn't help.

Somehow Duke goes down 9 midway through the 2nd half - doesn't foul at all - and wins. Wisky helped by taking terrible shots, but they got robbed though as well by horrible officiating. It's the offseason now, NCAA, time for a makeover for a horrible product.

That really shouldn't be an excuse. In that situation, you should set a few screens just across the timeline to either give the ball handler a shot at a pull up three, or to swing it to one of the screeners on the switch.

Again, that's just poor situational awareness indicative of a lack of flexibility. Ryan is a good enough coach to install a few set plays like that.

Agree with all this. If you have to put up a guarded 20 footer, do it. Get it out of your hand. You need 2 possessions in :20.

Play for a stop. Worst case scenario ... they score a 2 and you're down 5 with 15 seconds and 2 timeouts. Fine. Collect yourselves.

Such a dumb coaching decision. That was inexperience.

They just aren't capable of hitting those kind of shots. We also saw at the end there just how badly Duke's guards outclassed Wisconsin's from a talent perspective when the pacing of the game changed and got away from them.

I'm not sure it was horrible as much as I'd say it was just unequal and rules were selectively applied... It's just modern-day officiating IMO, there's plenty of wiggle-room in the rule book, and they always have the "it's a hard job and we can't see everything" excuse. And in this modern day the "not enough to overturn" thing is just funny.

Actually, extending the game there from a statistical standpoint is what you have to do. Read a study on this specific subject a month or so ago. If you're down 3 with 10+ seconds left in college, that's a pretty terrible situation to be in (especially if you don't score quickly like Wisconsin).

The problem was Nigel Hayes fouled the wrong guy (and it looked like he did it inadvertently). But that's on him, not the coach.
