Hey KP, I just read an article about the fire ants in Houston after the Flooding. Have you seen these fire ant balls that float on water? Have you any experaince with these ants ? They
sound very nasty.

If anyone ever watches a rerun of Fox's "When Animals Attack," there's a guy from Texarkana on it who was swarmed by fire ants here.

Apparently he was out deer hunting and somehow fell out of his stand and broke his hip. Unfortunately, the fall also landed him smack in the middle of a fire ant mound. The guy laid there for something like 24 hours...getting bites until he passed out, then waking back up to try to drag himself off the mound, which stirred them up and made them bite until he passed out, and so on...

Nasty little buggers, they are...

Never a truer word. What I hate the worst is when you're standing around and they swarm you and somehow know not to stat stinging until enough of their brethren are on you to put you in a real pickle. Happened to me once outside church, while I was in my Sunday best. Wasn't in said best for long. Very painful, very embarassing.

Must run in the family, after the incident, my family informed me that, before I was born, when my father's parents came down to Louisiana to first meet my mother's parents, my grandpa lit on an anthill and got a nasty enough dose of 'em to land him in the hospital. Talk about your first impressions.

Any way I hope that I won't do or say anything to anyone that will offend them especially when it comes to talking about Mikhael, and his skills or lack thereof as so many people will assume. I'll take up for my son when the need arises, but don't be too hard on him
