Definitely a rebuilding year, but hopefully we can bounceback to contention next season.

Two things I want to see:

- Croyle establish himself as the starter at some point this season

- The defense take the next step and show the makings of a potentially dominant unit

In his first season, after taking over an old team and losing his starting QB in the first game, we still made the playoffs. That's gotta count for something.

Its a rebuilding year, yet we could still contend for a playoff spot due to our schedule and the strength of playing at Arrowhead. Face it we almost win 6 to 8 games at Arrowhead and 3 road games are extremely winnable in Houston, Oakland, Detroit.

I voted A team rebuilding/retooling in transition. But if we don't win games because we have young Croyle, bench his ****ing ass and put in Huard. I think rebuilding and losing is BS. Rebuild and WIN. God I hope Croyle pans out or I will be very, very disappointed.

I think this team is rebuilding but, is also good enough to win 9 or 10 games. I'm hoping the defense shows some growth this year.

I think this will be the most exciting season to watch in years. So many new faces and question marks, seems more exciting than the ole "will we finish 8-8, 9-7, or 10-6 and then get dusted in the wildcard" of the last ten years.

We're starting a Rookie QB with sub par WR's and I dont see Bowe making an immediate impact. Teams will continue to stack the box against LJ.

We will be bottom in the league in offense. I don't think we're at the point defensively where we can rely on them to carry us in road games or against good teams. Thank god we play the NFCN this season.

We finish 6-10. Draft top 10 next season.

8-8. One half of the team (defense) will be good, but not good enough to win a bunch of games outright, and the other half (offense) will be about league average, maybe a little bit under.

I think you are too optimistic about the offense.

Where's the 16-0 option?

Seriously, if the Rams could be who they were in 1999 and then win the Super Bowl, why would anybody be pessimistic? 16-0, baby!

I said team in transition/rebuilding. The fact that we went from a coach who wanted high octane offense as the team's focus to a coach who wants a ball hawking defense as the focus is transition in itself. Lose your starting QB of the last 5 seasons in favor of a 2nd year guy and a journeyman is a big overhaul too.

I think I am, too. But I get the nagging suspicion that simply dumping it to Tony G and LJ (ala Huard last year) and occasionally opening up holes for Kennison and Bowe via that process, will make for a nearly average offense.

I consider us contenders this year...look at what phillip rivers did in his first year. I have heard nothing but good things about BC and think he is capable of at least 9-10 wins which is very possible playoff birth. The only games this season that I have basically written off is the colts, sd @ sd, denver @ denver. I believe all the other games are definately winable. I dont think the bears defense is what it was a year ago, they have lost some key players and Briggs should be holding out when we play. Also with their QB uncertainty, I think we will do well against them. The jags, bengals, sd and denver will be rough home games, but you know how we roll at arrowhead. So if we win at least one of the tougher home games and dont loose to any less talented teams, I think -we are looking at least 10-12.....maybe Im being optimistic.
