Lomas Brown admits to missing a block on purpose to get QB Mitchell injured in 1994
Eric Winston weeps. He's also 100% sick. From AIDS.
I find this VERY interesting. Being a Chiefs fan who for so long was desperate for Matt Cassel to not take the field, I always wondered if teammates felt the same way when a QB as terrible as he is flushing the team down the toilet. There have to be guys who think this way. This is just one case. I have to wonder how many more there are from offensive linemen on terrible QB teams who are just smarter than Brown not to admit it. when Cassel went down, i got excited, but not because he was hurt, but because he was ut of the game and we can see someone else at qb, that wasnt his fail. We had another fail on the team, but we knew what Matt could do or cant do.
its almost 20 years later for this, folks gotta get over, hurt and a little upset? sure, but like everything else in live, let it go and move on. |

I didn't cheer Cassel's injury. But, I also didn't complain about the injury either like I did when Charles, Berry, or Bowe were injured. Like 99% of Chief fans, I wanted to know what kind of depth we had behind Cassel. Needles to say, we have none which answers questions on what moves we need to make this offseason. Two rookies and a respectable veteran in FA

Lomas Brown is a buddy f v ck er. He should be black balled from the NFL at all levels. The buddy f v ck er is only regreting it because he came off like he was bragging about it at first. Yeah, he's a POS.

I can't stand in judgement but Brown is clearly led by his emotions which in turn make him a douche. Lomas demonstrated poor judgement as a professional and sheer stupidity as a person by going public with this admission.

Sorry, but Brown is a piece of shit.
As an offensive lineman, to consciously let a guy through in order to get your quarterback hurt is the cardinal sin. This guy is getting paid a shit ton of money to block guys off regardless of how shitty the QB is. Act of treason. |

Our line must have been frustrated. Even when they do their job well on pass blocking, Cassel rarely had any success.

I was actually nervous it would let Pioli off the hook and we might win 3-4 games with Quinn. I should have relaxed.

Shocked that Brown admitted this. He only did it once though....................

I'm not sure this is the first and only time it's ever been done.
But what I don't understand is the notion that, because Brown missed the block, it was a given that the quarterback would be injured. If that were the case, as an expert in taking sacks, Cassel wouldn't have lasted a game. The story seems a tad contrived to me. FAX |

regardess, if his intention was to avoid protecting his QB with injury in mind prior to snap Lomas Brown has forever marginalized himself with his PUBLIC admission.
