Screw Yards! I don't give a rat's ass about yard! You can run up and down the field all you want. If you aren't scoring it don't mean shit!

The Jets were in teh Red Zone 5-6 times yesterday... once we play a team that can score in the redzone, it might not look so rosey.

Not trying to piss on the parade, because Im as excited as anyone... but the jets killed themselves quite a bit, and if Laverneass Coles doesnt go dropsie on those sure TD's... then this game is a different story.

True, but not bad for a first game for a re-constucted defense. I fully expect Gun's defense to get better and better as the confidence grows, pride increases, and play is fine tuned.

I don't expect to see everything this defense can be until game 5 or 6. For example, DJ looked awesome, but I'm sure his game is going to grow leaps and bounds as he reduces rookie mistakes.

I would guess that you feel that the defense had nothing to do with the lack of scoring by the Jets in the Red Zone.

It sounds like you've given up on the team before the season gets underway.

If you watched the preseason you might have noticed that the defense improved (1st quarter) each of the games as they went. I see no reason that they will not continue to get better as the games progress.

Points scored is what matters. Our D kicked ass yesterday.

Let's not forget that we played most of the game without a starting DT and what will be our two starting CBs. Our pass D wasn't all full strength. Right now the rankings don't mean diddly poo to us. Th Chiefs just have to find away to survive the next three weeks then hopefully we'll have Suratin, Warfield and Sims all in the game and our pass D and overall D will be better.

I'd say the unjuries to Surtain and Sims have the biggest potential impact, but then again, I'm a D homer. The Chiefs will need Surtain desperately against the . McMe-owned and Washington won't cut it, especially if our F4 aren't getting in Collins' face (which is why Sims is crucial).

...taking this season one game at a time.

Maybe I am wrong here, but it looks like the Chief's Defense is tied for 2nd in the league for points allowed, not 7th.
