-- KC's Running Back stable

Sorry in advance may be somewhat a 'Q' -

- Hunt
- Ware
- D. Williams
- K. Williams
- West

What's going to be our approach going further toward September?

I just can't imagine both West and Ware BOTH being around. All of this said; I like the Williams' pick ups, however; I'd love it if we could keep Ware. I haven't seen this discussed as much as I'd have thought around here.

It's going to be an interesting camp for sure. We have 5 running backs that are better than any back they have in Dung Valley. I would think that Ware has the early edge, provided that he's healthy. But, if he's not going to be ready right away, they could be planning on stashing him on PUP in case someone else gets hurt. Seems like running backs are always going down. West looks like one of the long shots right now. He's been banged up and just not that effective the last couple of seasons. Any kind of injury that causes him to miss any time at all will likely be the end for him. As far as the Williams boys, I just don't know. I guess we'll have to wait and see who steps up in TC.

Damien is the man to beat out, is my early guess.

Ware does not have the edge.

There are very few exceptions to the “can’t lose your job to injury” rule but “your rookie 3rd rounder just led the league in rushing” is absolutely one of them.

well I was saying that - assuming we all know who our #1 is - I'd say Ware is clearly favored at 2 (provided he's close to the same) Damien is the man to beat out at 3 IMO. Lots of 'what ifs?' though... sure.

Thats just tough luck for Spencer Ware.

I want to comment that, him being out for so long and missing many games puts him at a disadvantage imo. I’d imagine hes gonna be rusty.

I think we’ll see plenty of 2-back formations this year like Pat used to have in TT. Hunt will likely get the lions share, with Ware coming into spell maybe 6-8 carries a game for Kareem breathers and short yardage runs. I think Damien is going to be more of the receiving back and play some H-back that releases into flats after an RPO or PA. Kerwynn seems like Ware insurance to me due to somewhat similar. I think West get shipped off for a conditional 2020 pick or something minuscule.
