Good article Breakdown of Chiefs Offense Problems

Sorry if repost. This article may already be located deep in some other thread.
I think it deserves it's own thread though. And since I am awesome, you are going to let it slide. Discuss more Alex Smith/ Andy Reid/ and OL hate here.

bowe can't get open or something...

Quote:
Smith has pristine protection. He has to see this play down the field. Bowe is about to break WIDE OPEN with the deep safety responsible for him. Wilson runs a fabulous route here, forcing Peterson to turn his hips and run, moving him away from Bowe. This should absolutely be a touchdown, every single time...

...Smith takes his eyes away from his downfield receivers way too quickly and looks for his checkdown. This is exactly what the Cardinals want from Smith. Meanwhile, Bowe could not be any more open. Literally, Bowe could have moonwalked into the end zone. Instead, it is a minimal gain instead of seven points.

I refuse to believe that all of a sudden bpwe just sucks. For **** same he had good years with Huard, Thigpen, and Cassel as his QB.

Smith just will not throw it down field. Andy needs to get rid of the check Down option at to es. Take his ass throw it or get sacked.

Perhaps Reid is trying to force Smith to throw down field by putting the Chiefs in 3rd and long situations due to not running the ball.

SOUNDS POSSIBLE.

I guess a person does have to scroll down a lot, but it is not a long read. There are 3 to 5 lines after each pick that breaks everything down very nice.
That article right there is one that the Alex haters should be using and throwing in the face of the Alex homers. Of course the homers will hate it because it removes the excuses for Alex's decisions.

Does the offensive line suck? Yeah....that's obvious.

But Alex Cassel can't hit shit when it does give him time.

Looking at Reids history proves that Smith is just a symptom of the problem.

Considering the article, Reid may have been right to call a pass heavy game. Clearly, receivers were getting open. The Cardinals were keyed in on Charles and when that happens, the Chiefs have to make plays in the passing game to give Charles room again.

Smith isn't making the plays he needs to make.

The Coach was trying to take advantage of the opportunities given to his offense.

His QB and O-line simply didn't get the job done.
