Berry Day-to-Day, Andy won't commit to him playing chargers.
Asked if Berry would be ready to go on Sunday in Los Angeles, coach Andy Reid was non-committal.
“We’ll see,” he said Monday. “It’s day-to-day. We’ll see how it goes.”

You may be right, however the Texans do it a LOT also. Perhaps they should get a pass with Billy-O being a Bellichek disciple. Regardless, whenever I year it, I just tell myself that Player X isn't playing....I expect the same with Ragland this season as well in that his seemingly non issue swollen knee will end up being worse than they let on and cause him to miss a lot of snaps.

Both the Houston and Berry mega-contracts blowing up on our faces is the Chiefsest thing ever.

Broke dick that's getting paid for nothing and has a nightmare contract thanks to Dorsey. He was a shitty GM.

No shit. **** players and their bullshit about getting paid. When do they ever bring home the goods after they get a ton of money. Football is just to much contact to hand over gobs of cash for anyone except QB.

Heel probably come out full speed on Sunday and make a significant impact. That's what I'm hoping for anyway.

So does trading an all pro defensive player before paying him qb money seem like such a stupid thing now? If I were a raiders fan as far as mack goes I would say how did that houston deal work for the chiefs? Or the Berry deal.

For Berry that's 2020. His cap hit in 19 would be 14 mil if cut. 2020 it's 4.

Sure would. The deal is this was the same heel that he had issues with last preseason. The other Achilles is the one he tore.

Its all about slotting and spreading out contracts. Berry and Houston will be off the books when it comes time to pay Pat. Which is why its so important to draft playmakers in the early rounds of the draft in the NFL.

You may be on to something - I've learned to never count that guy out. BUT, this is the same scenario as last season. And he DID make a significant impact in KC's opening win over the Pats. Deal is he was done for the rest of the year and it was the absolute KILLER of the defense.

I have no issue with paying Houston what we did. The contract that has always bothered me was Berry because while he's great, we are paying 2x what other teams are paying for the position.
