I went to an outdoor 3D shoot today. I took 2 new people and saw 4 families..husbands-wives and kids and at least 3 dads with kids shooting the course.

The head of my club makes recurves and has begun teaching kids to make some, and the first ones are pretty damn cool.

There is some serious woodworking skill that went into the creation of that bow...and the guys who are good at making them, especially if they shoot accurate are true craftsmen.

And dumbass.....A LOT of people hunt with hand made bows.

Sec, hunts with a hand made bow......and makes his own arrows. I have one, and an Indian would be jealous.

Maybe, maybe not.

A bow like that would likely just be used for target shooting. But if it had the power, it could be used for hunting. There are certainly people out there that hunt using traditional recurve bows.
