I'd say 32 cause I think at 50 when your child is 18 your gonna be ready for a rest. But 40 is definately pushing it.

I go for having them at a young age like 20 or 21 so you still have a life left for yourself when they are gone, but the down side to that is you raise your kids all your life and when they leave, you don't know who you are anymore, thats the way I feel, when mine left, I felt really empty, I had mine at 19, 20 and 24 and now that I'm 40, I don't know who I am without them. I have been kinda depressed most this year because of it.

I guess I've replaced my kids with the Planeteers.

I hope no one ever has to move into one of those "houses" when they are old. No I don't plan on it, I am praying I'll be able to keep my health and be able to take care of myself, I should get social security since I've had to always work and will always have to it looks like.

I think once you start getting into your 50s, you're ensuring that you'll be in your 70s when the kid graduates high school. Your (possibly) declining health will constitute a burden on someone just starting out in life. You won't be around to be grandparents to his/her kids. Heck, even when you're in your 60s you often start slowing down, so it becomes harder to participate in your teen's activities (going to sports events, etc.).

Of course, those are generalizations. There are some vibrant 60-70 year-olds out there who maybe wouldn't miss a beat. And some might live well into their 80s and their child's adulthood. And yes, some 30-40 year-olds are lumps who can't keep up. But I think they're exceptions. I know I sure as heck wouldn't want to be chasing a toddler around the house in my 50s -- I barely survived it in my early 30s.

50 is waaaaaaay to old to be having kids, what child would want their mother mistaken as their grandmother all their life?

Plus you'd probably have a child something was wrong with at that age. Al Davis

Well, I'll tell you what I told them, money isn't free you have to work for it, so come and clean my house and I'll throw you an allowance of 20 dollars a week.
