Yeah. Bigger market, double the strikeouts, couple more wins. Bannister won't be 'sexy' enough despite winning 10 games with KC, of all teams, and posting an ERA (so far) nearly a half-point lower.

Shame Alex Gordern started so horribly and/or that Billy Butler didn't get a full season.

Kind of weird to have young talent that can actually do something.

I really think Gordon would have been better suited if he had played the first couple of months in Omaha. None the less I'm kinda shocked that he's not doing as well as I thought he'd be doing.
I figured by now he'd at least be batting .270-.280. With around 20-25 hr's and 70-80 RBI's.

I'm a little disappointed too, I was hoping for .275 by the end of the year, but it's not going to happen. I am, however, glad they kept him on the big team (since he started here, I'm not arguing he shouldn't have started in AAA). I don't think he needed the Teahen treatment. He clearly was over his head the first two months, apparently not ready at all, but he's strong enough to have worked through it and he may well be a better player in the long run. He's experienced failure at the professional level, That can sometimes be an incredibily difficult lesson. He's had some success after, which is another valuable thing to go through.

We'll see how Butler does with his first extended slump, whenever that happens. It's a part of development.

It's nice to have guys to look forward to in the future that you don't have to convince yourself they'll be good, drink some koolade.

I really don't know, but I'll guess Rickey Henderson. I know he married someone he met in high school and that he has a few kids. Did those kids have kids early enough? He played in the majors until he was 44--and hit a couple of home runs in his final season.

If not, I give up (and want the answer!)
