$200 a month? Does that include a porn subscription?
I have five HD DVR's, every premium channel, the HD package AND the maintenance package. My bill is $159 a month, with Cali's 10% tax included. Something isn't right. I'd call them tomorrow. |

We have Uverse and IMO its a pain in the ass. If you have 3 shows recording and someone is watching something live. You either have to kick that person off of their show, stop a recording, or not watch TV. Not to mention that the Gateway's wifi is shaky and Live TV is consistently locked up or lagged out.

I loved Comcast in Seattle. But I was always able to negotiate with them to keep my bill around $150 a month and my service was identical to Pete's except I didn't have home phone service, and I didn't have the 2 non HD boxes. They gave me HBO for a year for $1 one time. That was coming to an end right as I was moving though. They were less willing to haggle.

We had been switching back and forth between Dish Network and DirecTV for years now, but finally just decided to drop them altogether. We got a Netflix streaming subscription for the kids to watch cartoons and their other shows, and there is also a lot on there for us too. We use a PS3 and bought a $40 Roku box for and a semi-cheap OTA antenna. Less than $100 in startup costs and $9.99 a month for Netflix and, to date, we don't really miss anything we had before. We do have cable internet through TWC for like $45/month also.

I just finished my first 3 months with DirectTV and called in to have them not extend the 3 free months of all the pay channels. Bastard started to argue with me about cutting them to a point I finally had to say "NO. I DON"T WANT THEM". They also started charging me $20 bucks a month more then what I was quoted by the lady that set me up initially. Found out they were charging me $19.99 a month for insurance of the equipment and supposedly my equipment. Dude argued for close to 20 minutes about how I needed it to a point I finally said "I DON'T ****ING WANT THE ****ING INSURANCE. TAKE IT ****ING OFF!!!!". Damn, I've never had a rep argue and be that aggressive with me on the phone over shit like this before. Finally got him to agree to what I wanted. I guess we'll see how much they bill me for from now on.
