Saw Wino with Clutch a while ago, but his band bailed on him prior to the show so he just played an acoustic set. I was disappointed. Wino is legend. |

Sabbath was so far before my time that I never got into them. My first exposure to Doom was from a Hard 'n' Heavy VHS from '89/'90. It had an interview with Candlemass. At the time I thought these dudes were total clowns, that particular Hard 'n' Heavy also featured Heathen, Testament, Exodus, and I believe Laaz Rockit, stuff that I was more into. It wasn't until later in life that I learned to appreciate Doom.
Here is the Candlemass clip from Hard 'n' Heavy 7. |

So far i'm like Electric Wizards the best, but i'm still looking for something a little groovier, a little more melodic, something these guys did/still do specialize in, bought this cd when it came out after hearing one song & never regretted it...
Monster Magnet, same thing... plenty heavy, but still has plenty of groove & rhythm, fell COMPLETELY in love the first time i heard Negasonic... |

It's about time you got here. Two of my favorite bands you've got there. Hung out and lost some brain cells with the boys from Monster Magnet a couple times. Great guys. Whitewater will always make me crazy while both SuperJudge and Spine of God can be found on my top 10 list. A very exclusive list. |
