That was the one part of the game I remember most. Running away from that big bastard while trying not to piss myself. |

The only Tomb Raider I ever played was the original, I guess, on PlayStation. If I remember correctly, it had wolves, T-rex, and even raptors.
I never could really get into that one but I will be Redboxing this one. It looks ****ing fantastic. |

I beat it last night. Good game, but man there's things I dislike about it, and it pretty much goes with what I hate about modern gaming. First off, it's easy as hell. You could have 10 sword wielding enemies on your ass, as long you keep hitting circle to roll around they can't really touch you. Secondly, where the **** are the puzzles? This is god damn Tomb Raider not ****ing Gears of War. All the shooting and action is well done and fun, but god damn it I want some tricky platforming and puzzles. Is it wrong to make people have to use their brain these days? The puzzle at the very start of the game was the hardest one, and it was pretty easy. I thought "Oh well it's the very first puzzle. I like where this is headed." And then....that was ****ing it. There were a couple other "puzzles" but they were not hard.
Overall though, 9/10. lol |

Good game. Looks great if you play it in 3d. My only gripe is a gripe I have with a lot of new games lately. QT events where you have to time hitting a button they flash on the screen when someone pops out at you. Developers, hit "FU" button now to stop using QT events in your games.

Just beat it myself. Not bad at all. It was a good story but the ending was a little easier than I expected, (as usual).
Overall, 9.25 out of 10. Very entertaining game. |

I liked it a lot. I got it from Gamefly on Thursday and finished it Friday though. So I would probably rent if possible.

Been meaning to rent it. I saw reviews and noticed that they kind of went with the Uncharted formula. Glad top see they were paying attention, b/c it used to be a great franchise in it's day.

Ok, outside of the QTEs, this game is really good.
Sad that I can't see it in its full Ultimate graphics glory though. My rig can only play it on High. Ultra is just a tad too choppy. EDIT Could some of you GFX card experts tell me the lowest priced card that would still be capable of Ultimate settings on this game on a standard LCD HDTV 60hz.
