One thing struck early on at the Grammys

A lot of people thought Kurt Kobain was so genius he had to die young to preserve his legacy.

Do people not ****ING KNOW ANYTHING about Dave Grohl.

Dude just carries on and on and as good or better then Nirvana itself ever was.

Or ****ING Paul McCartney, dude's what, 100 yo, part of the greatest youth band, greatest mature band, and in his own right one of the best solo rockers for continuing decades.

It's just weird, these geniuses die tragically young and it somehow had to be that way, and equal geniuses don't, and just give and give and give us more genius. And we still realize they are the best around, but don't recognize them in quite the same way as departed.

Is Lars Ulrich's hair even attached to his skull?

It looks like something they taped to his collar.

And Hetfield looked like

Who was the country band with the female singer that played after Kendrick Lamar/Imagine Dragons? I liked her.

I loved Nirvana but thought this watching Foo Fighters "Skin and Bones" DVD.

The guy's a ****ing comedian, plays like 10 instruments, and is a good front man. Not to mention he writes a ton of their $3it as well...

I DVR'd the show. I want to watch Imagine Dragons - the kids love their music (I don't). I want to watch because they're using custom BILT guitars made right here in Des Moines, IA.

You don't really see much in the way of guitars in their performance. It's mainly percussion and Kendrick Lamar.

I thought the early acts were amazing. John Legend was like Otis Redding good to open the show. Taylor Swift was surreallly great. I've never seen anything like Pink [in a good way] like Pink in a music act. She actually combined

Spoiler!

with live singing.

At this point it is one of the most mind blowing musical events I can recall.

Imagine Dragons was high intensity. Tough to understand what he was saying, but really good.

Daft Punk's act was good, but all the white folk trying to dance to it in the audience [Paul McCartney, Steve Tyler, oofah, white man overbite overkill] killed the vibe. Should've stayed with Daft, Pharrell and Stevie on stage

I'm sorry, but Ringo Star's first number was bad karoake

This is what I was thinking of watching it.

http://videosift.com/video/Bill-Murr...nters-from-SNL

There were decent acts after it, but it kind of descended overall from there.

And the 'patter,' Madonn. Worst written presenter banter I've EVER seen

Paul's new album, NEW, is surprisingly good. I really dig the song Queenie Eye and Amazon had the whole album on sale for $5 so I bought it. I was very surprised at how good it is. If you like Paul, check it out.

Virginia Moon may be the most underappreciated song ever written.

I grew out of Nirvana about the time I turned 15.

Foo Fighters are still making quality music, and Dave Grohl is awesome.
