Okay, so I was pretty pissed when we took this kid. On paper, he has a shit ton of fumbles and Moeaki-like ankle.

However... watching this highlight tape, albeit from 2010, gave me wood.

2 RB's with 4.3 speed is not a bad thing. He runs hard, is tough to bring down, and has blazing speed. God forbid JC goes down at all, our entire offensive scheme wont have to be completely altered.

I don't like WHERE he was picked, but I'm glad he's a Chief, so long as he can bring this to the table:

This guy could be awesome when you realize that when Charles gets a blow they don't lose homerun ability. Or maybe they figure out a way to use both of them and really **** with defenses.

Considering how much Reid loves Alex Smith and the guy is pretty smart I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of really interesting personnel sets with this team. Tons of versatile personnel now.

I'd love to see a lot of 2 back sets out of the shotgun with Charles and Davis in the backfield together. The flats would be a frightening place for a D to cover with those two in. Hell, simple bubble screens would be terrifying if one guy misses his tackle.

I think the RB and TE picks high in the draft are all about having multiple weapons.

This offense is going to be good, and frankly the defense already has a ton of talent it just needs to perform. I just hope we can figure out how to keep Albert in the fold. When you look at our OL depth with him there it's incredible, especially if we can play him at LG, and have Stephenson hold down the RT spot.

I just don't like the risk in round 3.

Also feels an aweful lot like a luxury pick, on a team that has actual needs.

Well I think we all knew they needed a RB, I just didn't expect it quite so high. I think it may have something to do with them knowing they aren't going to get many big plays in the passing game so having 2 hr hitting RB's will help.

I don't know, what other position could we have drafted that the player would have been an instant starter? A run on safeties already happened. We got out ILB a few picks later, so no big deal. We could have taken a d-line man but look at the roster as think about how many we are going to keep active.

Great depth signing. A this guy could get a chance to contribute right away.
