As soon we went up by 14 I knew that the next Chargers drive would result in a TD. This D has no killer instinct and is too soft to close out games.

8 yards. 8 ****ing yards. There wasn't a single Chiefs defender within 8 ****ING YARDS of the Charges best WR on the field when the game's on the line. That is a clear indication that your defense is terribly coached and has some really stupid players on it.

He's likely the reason we won't be celebrating a Super Bowl win yet again this year.

Even if it is not Sutton's "faullt" i.e. he is calling the right defenses but the players just don't execute the atrocity is still occurring under his watch. He needs to go purely to inject some freshness and change of culture.

And when you absolutely had to have a first down in the last offesive series, what did Andy call up? A run in the middle on first down. I saw that coming five minutes before they actually did it. Everyone knew he would go soft on 1st down and it ratcheted up the tension. And what about the 3rd down call? I guess we have a pocket passer who is awful outside the pocket because that is where Andy put him with the game teetering on the brink. Did you see any designed rollouts? I only saw rollouts on scrambles.
And only one long pass that doinked off Tyreek's helmet. Typical Andy. Cannot coach a win out of a tough situation in the 2nd half. Saw it for 14 years in Philly and it continues in KC. Only when the team takes it out of Andy's hands can they count on winning high profile games. |

Kindly GFY, on the play of the game his top corners were completely lost on how to defend a simple trips cross and gave up an uncontested layup for the game. That's plain and simple coaching asshole.

Yup! Great call to run the ball netting a three yard loss deep in our end of the field late in the game.

I've been on and off the Sutton debate for a long time. I stopped caring about it and let other people duke it out.
At this point Reid HAS to fire Sutton. It's an accountability thing. He can defend his guys all he wants and make claims about how it starts with him, but the bottom line is there is and has been a giant problem that has gone UNFIXED since around the end of 2015. The defense has been awful. For whatever reason. Head coaches get fired all the time in this league. These kind of collapses can't ALL be blamed on lack of talent. And I don't care if it really is all about lack of talent. You need to refresh. You need to take the bad and you need to try something new with it. Hunt has GOT to step in and tell Reid to find a new guy. |
