Good day for the Chiefs but the downward spiral of Tyson Jackson continues...
Outdone by a spithood. It'll be interesting to see what the team decides to do with him & the DE position after this season. I haven't completely lost hope, but it's not getting any better for this guy. He didn't even register on today's game stats...

ya, I'm not happy about that pick at all. Normally you'd say, wait 3 years, but damn, he just is a non-factor and always has been. That pick is probably worse than Ryan Sims, because it was #3 overall.

Not to defend Jackson, because I hated that pick (had hope that he would work out, but hated the pick) from day 1, but Dorsey didn't register any stats today & I think a lot of people are pretty happy with the way he's been playing this year...

I still remember my "not Tyson Jackson, not Tyson Jackson, not Tyson Jackson..." ramblings for the last 5 minutes we were on the clock in '09 before losing it when Goodell announced the pick. Hope he can turn it around, but it sure as hell isn't looking good.

The bad news: He's looking like one of the worst picks in KC history, arguably the worst.

The good news: He plays a position that isn't terribly difficult to replace, and can be done at a reasonable cost.

Smith is young enough that he could hold down the other spot for 2-3 years. We still need a NT, though, and Hali has cooled off, which shows our need for another pass rusher to take some of the focus off of him.

Precisely Don't know that we can improve much in the passrush dept. in 2weeks except throw a bunch of different schemes at them because the way Rivers is playing they will 'devour' our young 2ndary without at least a mediocre rush.

We have to have our "O" playing on all cyclinders to at least keep up with the shoot out that will occur assuming that we bring our "A" game on both the run and pass. And even that could not be possibly enough.

Any team can beat any team in the NFL at any week. This is the clearest example of parity I've seen. That said, SD is probably the hottest team in the NFL right now, but we can sell out against the pass b/c they have absolutely no rushing attack.
