So now where do we stand? Do we still have a top 5 draft pick?

Did this win over the Raiders bump us down to a 7th or 8th draft pick? It's nice to win, but I'd hate to have the Raiders right above us in the draft. This season is over. It's all about 2005 now!!

Will be IRONIC when the Raiders take Antrelle Rolle and stop the chiefs pass attack.

I know my eyes are getting older ... in fact Cataract surgery on Wed. but .... I do not see one Chief in the list that you made....

Meaning Kingless can't draft... he did hit the jack pot with D.T. so as was just said above .. maybe if he has a top 5 then he will not mess it up as much!!!

But, I think we may win out.... which will screw the whole thing up!!!

I used to think this way. But then the Chiefs did not really improve even with some great players we picked up early, Art Still, Mike Bell et al. The biggest change we could make that would help us in the draft would be to change the people who make the decisions as to whom we take. We have not drafted a Pro Bowl player since Tony G. Even drafting towards the middle late first round, you should have some players develop. And our 2nd rounders have been consistently horrid.
We need to beat Denver and Oakland in our house. That's six wins and middle of the pack again for drafting. This team has many of the pieces in place to win a championship, but the pieces that are not there only magnify how far away we are. I have never rooted for the Chiefs to lose, and I'm not going to do so now. I've been a Chiefs fan for 35 seasons now and they haven't been to the Super Bowl in 36. There is nothing to lead me to believe that my 36th season of watching the Chiefs will not pan out.
I only long to see the headlines SUPER CHIEFS

Saying that a better draft pick means a better draft is like saying it's going to be a better movie if I get my tickets first...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
