King Carl not pleased with Tynes

Did anyone else get the feeling from what Carl Peterson said in the booth that Tynes is all but history?

The announcers were going over Tynes' misses, his bad kickoffs, and the incident in River Falls and from what I heard with Carl's reply, it sounds like Tynes is gone.

Something like this

"Yeah, we've been looking for about two weeks now. I thought he was going to be the guy for us, but he's just doing too many things wrong, and not getting it done."

It sounds like Carl's mind was all but made up judging by that response.

Problem is, who can the Chiefs pursue at the K position that would be any better? I dont know of any available kickers that are worth a damn.

I thought Tynes was just in a slump and would shake it off. But man, when youre missing field goals under 40 yards, thats pretty damn bad. Anything under 40 yards should be money for an NFL kicker.

Actually I read that Martin Gramatica had a bad year due to an injury he had. He didn't inform people of it and kicked with it anyway making him perform poorly. He has since had surgery to repair it, so maybe he's worth a shot now.

I just know he's the guy we're gonna think about bringing in. Actually if I'm not mistaken, he was pretty cruddy the year before last too... Gruden just pulled the plug last year.

Yeah, last two years he's 27-45 in FG's. He also averaged about 61 yards a kickoff and had 7 touchbacks last year (4 of those coming in one game).... which is almost exactly what Tynes did last year. I'm just not seeing it...

I remember the Gramatica 65 yarder against A&M. That was sweet. it didnt just barely clear the xbar either.

I say we sign Garo Yepremian. Not only could he outkick Tynes, he also could serve as the No. 3 QB, since he throws as well as Huard.
