Next Seasons Record

Since we are most likely not going to do anything in free agency and just rely on the draft what do you think our record will be next year. Here is a list of next years opponents:

Home
Denver, Oakland, San Diego, Baltimore, Cincinnati, San Francisco, Seattle, Jacksonville

Away
Denver, Oakland, San Diego, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Arizona,
St. Louis, Miami

I say we go 6-2 at home and 4-4 on the road for a grand total of 10-6 and get in the playoffs as a wild card team.

What do you think planeteers?

7-9. The Chiefs have done nothing to upgrade the team so far, and they've taken a step back in terms of offensive coordinator (Al Saunders vs Mike Solari), head coach (Vermeil vs Herm), they released a starting CB (Warfield) and lost a Pro Bowl caliber FB (T-Rich).

This is the 2004 offseason all over again. Carl sits on his ass all offseason does NOTHING and it backfires in his face the following season.

I agree except it's worse then '04. At that time, we were coming off a 13-3 season which we won the division. I can see why Carl was willing to go out of town when free agency began. But now we're coming off a season which we missed the playoffs for the 7th time in 8 seasons and we're still not doing much to improve.

LOL! No, it's me. I'm just not in a bad mood today.
FWIW, I also liked the '97, '95, '93, '86, '71, '69, '68 seasons.

My pre-draft prediction is 9-7. If Carl has a good draft(which we all know is unlikely), I would predict that we would be 11-5, and in the playoffs.

I know were not doing anything this offseason, but neither are the chargers or raiders. we also have the NFC west which IMO is the worst division in the NFL besides the Seahawks who we play at home. I think we still have a realistic shot at 11-5.
Losses: Denver and San Diego (Away), Pittsburgh, Miami, and Cincinatti.

9-7. D might be a little better, but the offense has only gotten older. LJ will make sure we are above .500 but unless we do something to improve the team no playoffs for the Chiefs this year.

10-6 atleast....FA isnt over...K. Johnson would be a nice add with Eddie Kennison..if that happens. And whatever D we add in FA/Draft should help tons. Chargers/Donkeys/Raiders if any of them finish more than 8-8 Ill be surprised as it stands now.

But like everyone is saying, there is alot of time left till opening day.Who knows what could happen between now and then.
My prediction Chiefs break that non playoff win streak this year!

We'll go 11-5 next year with an average team.

It all depends on the schedule, and we got an easy one.

We'll be next years Jaguars, feeding off the bottom of the NFL, only to be booted in the first round.

12-4 division champs and our first playoff win(s) in over a decade.

The defense will take a huge step forward in '06, while the offense will drop off slightly. This is asuming of course that we ever sign a second corner.

WAY early but if I had to say, I'd go with 10-6 and in the playoffs as a wildcard.
