Den 20, KC 17 - A very (relatively) optimistic outlook.

Offense:

LJ: 25-30 carries, 100-120 yards rushing, 5+ receptions, 50+ yards receiving, 1 TD. He does very good on the ground considering the Broncos will have eight guys in the box on basically every play.

Gonzo: 8 receptions, 70+ yards, 1 TD

Huard: 17-32 - 150-180 yards passing, 1 TD, 2 INT, Lots of passes to TEs and RBs to negate the pass rush and Huard's poopiness.

WRs: Don't get many looks from Huard, but we will see some good run blocks from them.

Overall we will see one long drive where both the pass and run are clicking. It will result in a TD. The other TD will be after our defense forces a turnover. This drive will most feature LJ grinding out yards on a shortened field, but it will be Gonzo who gets the TD. We will have between 270-300 yards of total offense.

Defense:

Denver only gains 4.0-4.5 ypc against us. I say only because Denver usually gains 6 or 7+ ypc against at Invesco. Hali and Allen play fast and smart. They do a good job of containing the boot leg. We get Plummer in some 3rd and longs and force a few turnovers that keep us in the game.

We will come out of this game feeling much better about the team. The defense and run game will look good, and we will have a bye week for certain players to get healthy. If Black starts he will still blow hard.

LJ breaks his femur in three places on the third play of the game, on a cut block by Denver. Tony shreds BOTH ACLs on the same play; a late hit out-of-bounds by Champ Bailey. Huard and Croyle are both carted from the field with neck injuries. Shields tears his Achilles tendon, and Waters suffers a career-ending back injury....as they slide off of blocks from the greased jerseys of Denver's OL. And Dante Hall suffers a groin injury and hip pointer that will plague him the rest of the year. None involve a yellow flag on Denver, which is surprising considering the 18 penalties leveled against the Chiefs.

After the game, DJ, Ty Law, and Jared Allen are arrested in a federal government gambling-drug-steriod sting operation, personally authorized by Dick Cheney and carried-out with the approval of Bush-the-puppet.

Does that sound about right, Jim? I realize it may be a bit too optimistic for you.....but just wondering.
