Vick to the Raiders?

One newpaper columnists opinion:

http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlot...s/16119462.htm

OAKLAND WOULD BE GOOD PLACE FOR VICK TO START FRESH

Here's something to picture as you look ahead to the offseason: Michael Vick in a Raiders jersey.A lot, namely a trade and a lot of salary cap details, will have to happen in the meantime. But this one makes perfect sense, and it may be just what the Raiders need to revive a franchise that's faltering.

The Falcons, who have given Vick every possible chance, will be willing to part with their quarterback. Despite his outrageous talent, he hasn't produced on any sort of consistent level and tensions are at an all-time high in the Falcons organization.

The crescendo may have come Sunday when Vick made an obscene gesture at Atlanta fans who ridiculed him as he walked off the field. The Falcons gladly would take draft picks for Vick, who clearly needs a fresh start.

And what better place for Vick than Oakland, where many a renegade has prospered?

Picture Vick throwing to Randy Moss. Picture Al Davis smiling again.

Even on his bad days, Vick would fit in Oakland. He could wave to fans who speak the same language.

I don't know about this. I'd figure Ron Mexico has more treatment options in Atlanta than in Oakland, Atlanta being home to the CDC.

that's a friggin' joke.

The problem is Mora...Vick was fantastic under Reeves.

Get Vick a real coach and I guarantee he'd be the most dangerous player in the NFL...

If Vick had a back like LJ, WOW! How could you stop Vick and LJ in the same backfield?

I like Dunn, he's a great RB, but he doesn't fit in with Vick...you need a between the tackles FORCE so Vick can boot all day long.

It would be unstoppable. The Falcons biggest mistake was getting rid of Duckett for Norwood.

I'd like to see Vick in Oakland. He is more talented as a RB than as a QB and I'm sure he has to run away often if he has to play behind the terrible OL of the Raiders

Yeah, because there are backs like LJ growing on trees....

The backfield is fine. Remember early in the year when they were runing wild on teams? Then, all of a sudden, they've abandoned the run. Commit to giving Dunn/Norwood the rock 25 times a game, and the entire game doesn't rest on Vick's shoulders.

WTF fantastic.....I guess, if you call a 50 percent passer who throws about 10 TDs per year fantastic. The reason he sucks even worse under Mora is because they are expecting him to actually read a playbook.

Yet another example of the CHIEFS international appeal, welcome to the board German Chief.

Whoever takes on (coaches) Vick just needs to throw out normal playbooks & notions of quarterbacking.

He will never be a solid dropback passer...period, he needs to be able to run & get out of the pocket 3/4 of the time to have success.

His de-construction would continue in earnest in chokeland.

I would absolutely love to Vick in the AFC West.

This guy would be facing three of the NFL's most ferocious defenses six times total in a season.

Behind that offensive line? Guy wouldn't last two seasons in this division. You can quote me on that.

Plummer in Oakland would be a dream come true.

The moment Vick ends up in Oakland, all the talent will be sucked out of his body (see Randy Moss) and all that will be left is a quarterback who can't win.
