You are completely off base. LISTEN. Are you listening? Since 1998, there has only been ONE #1 seed that has had a RPI worse than 7. ONE. And it was Michigan State with a 13 RPI. That year they were 11-6 against the Top 50 in RPI. That is a devastating schedule. KU is 3-2 this year. To say that "RPI is not used in seeding whatsoever" is simply an ignorant statement. It is true that KU was #1 in RPI and did not get a #1 seed, but to say it is not used at all is simply wrong. The correlation is obvious. In fact, almost 40% of the time, the top four seeds are 1,2,3 and 4 in the RPI. Face it, the NCAA Selection Committee heavily uses RPI. Not saying it's right or wrong, but sometimes it's hard for people to face reality.

HOWEVER, if KU wins out..we still have an outside shot because of how everybody is Phil Mickelsoning it down the stretch. Texas, and the two teams we will have to play in the Big 12 tournament really aren't going to help our RPI much. It's going to be pretty difficult to raise it more than 6-7 spots regardless.

You are not important enough to care about. I think those seeds are pretty accurate. If A&M finishes third in the Big 12, with their weak RPI, they will teeter in the 2-3 range. UCLA and Ohio State are locks for #1. If Wisconsin wins out until the Big 10 title game, they will get the third #1 seed. I really think Pitt is a #1 right now because of the downfall of UNC tonight, and Florida lately. Maryland is having a good run in the ACC, and they are really rising. Southern Illlinois will get at least a 4 seed this year. The only thing I'd maybe change now that I'm thinking about it is switch Maryland and A&M..I just don't really agree with Bracketology that A&M is for sure a #2 seed at this point. I'm sure some people will think I'm a little off base with Kentucky at 4 though. Who is everyone elses 1-4 seeds?
