That sucks, but I have to say Midwest is the best airline there is anyway. Seats you can actually sit in, reasonable rates, non-stop flights (your issue not withstanding). I don't think I will book anything else if Midwest is available. There would have to be a huge price difference.
Flashback to my all-day nightmare getting back to KC from Miami, courtesy of Delta. And I got to gag in the back of a plane that smelled like sewage terribly for that entire distance... they offered me a $50 voucher - which, by the way, isn't usable online. I guess I was supposed to physically go to the airport and buy a ticket with it or something. I'd rather take a kick in the nuts than fly Delta again so I just told them to shove their voucher. |

If you aren't somebody who spends thousands of dollars a year traveling, the airlines simply don't give a shit how they treat you. I assume it was always that way to a certain extent, but now they'll practically laugh and flip you the bird at the counter.
If I'm traveling anywhere within 1,000 miles, I'll spend the extra couple of days driving. I simply refuse to deal with them unless I have no reasonable alternative. |

If you're the guy sitting in the back row in the cloud of poo smell who flies once a year and has no loyalty, just picks the lowest fare, they don't care about you. The most price sensitive customers are not worth spending a lot of money pursuing. Those worth pursuing are business travelers, who are spending someone else's money or frequent fliers who typically land in higher price structures and might become quite loyal. I accept it.. I'll sit in coach, in a seat I can barely cram into, for a cheap fare. I expect minimum standards, though, like not smelling raw sewage or not getting home 7 hours off schedule. |

I don't mind those little regional jets. American flies some that are 2 seats on one side of the aisle, one seat on the other. It's cool to have both the aisle and the window and not have anyone right next to you, drooling on you or whatever.

I hate flying. I only fly if something prevents me from driving. Like going to Orlando this year. I'd like to drive, but given the option, I'd rather let my kids have more time at Disney World.
That said, regardless of where I am flying to, when I leave Wichita, I have some little ass puddle jumper flight down to Dallas. I hate flying, but I hate flying in those little planes even more. I got caught in one circling the Detroit airport one winter for 2 hours because of one of the worst snow storms they've had. My anxiety was doubled by the fact that neither the stewardess or the pilots let anyone know why we were circling the airport. |

I have a late April flight from Fort Lauderdale to KC that got switched from direct to a Milwaukee stop.
I only get home 1 hour later but it still pisses me off. If that was the case when I booked it I wouldn't have picked it. If they want to cut flights they should cut the one's that aren't booked yet. I too am flying Midwest. |
