How do you guys feel about these guys in the 3rd round ?

Tell me how do you guys feel about these 3 guys in the 3rd round.

WR Early Doucet
OT Anthony Collins
DE Brian Johnston

Early Doucet could become that # 2 receiver, he's 6 foot 209 lbs, he ran a 4.59 40 time, but speed isnt everything, its about how you play the game. The reason why he wasnt drafted already I feel is because he spent most of his time behind Dwayne Bowe and Craig Davis but finally got a shot last year and did fairly ok and then had a injury.

Here are his stats :
Year GP Rec Yds YPC TD
2004 12 18 257 14.3 2
2005 12 26 389 15.0 5
2006 13 59 772 13.1 8
2007 10 57 525 9.2 5

Anthony Collins is a good Offensive Tackle prospect to look as a replacement on the right side for when we part ways with Damion McIntosh. Plus he could play Left Tackle if needed too.

Brian Johnston, dont know much about this guy, except that he went to college at Gardner-Webb, Im guess thats a division II school. At the NFL Combine he ran a 4.66 40 time and is 6-5 274 lbs, so he is pretty good size boy.

Here are his career stats :
Year GP TKL TFL SACK
2004 9 58 5.0 2.0
2005 13 59 12.5 5.0
2006 11 77 14.0 8.0
2007 10 67 20.5 6.0

So tell me what you guys think about my 3rd pick selections.

I totally forgot about Chris Ellis he'd probably end up being a pretty good pickup.

Yea and I hope its the Chiefs that take him too, that would be so great, then we would have our left and right tackles.

I think Cliff Avril is getting a bit underrated due to his size. He's got a great motor and is HIGHLY athletic.

That said, I think Miami snaps him up in an hours time.

I believe he'd be a good # 2 beside Bowe, he has all physcial tools to be a good receiver, but if he is there its a no brainer you take him, because he is a pretty good talent to be there at 3, plus Bowe knows him, and he was considered to be a 2nd round pick and slid to 3.

He's too small, more of a LB than a DE.

I agree but he would make a great situational pass rusher... Then again it may be to high for that

Early Doucet

Something about that name i don't care about.

Plus its a french name, so rausch would get all worked up if we drafted him.

Don't get too excited.

O'Connell is a late round project type.

He may, or may not, ever be anything.

I like him, and think with coaching, he will be a good NFL QB.

He's got prototypical size, and while not considered mobile, he has that instinctive ability to slide away from pressure.
