Another vote for Onkyo...
Mrs. Gaz & I have [2] Onkyo receivers [Living Room & Bedroom] & have been very happy with both. We auditioned a ton of receivers [thank you to the very tolerant Ultimate Electronics folks who paired receiver X with speaker Y ad nauseum until we made our decision]. Onkyo truly rocks. Your mileage may vary... xoxo~ Gaz Total Onkyo geek. |

So the consensus seems to be Onkyo is the best bang for my buck...any particular models? Or just get the one with the connectivity I need with a little bit of room for expansion? How long do these things typically last?

From the reviews, it was compared to the Hsu VTF-3 Mk II, which was right at $700 at the time. For anyone looking now, I would have a tough time not recommending either Hsu of SVS unless you happen to come across a deal comparable to the one I found on the Mirage. |

The Klipsch is the RW 12D. I was also considering HSU and Velodyne. Am real happy with the Klipsch. Need to upgrade the receiver someday. Short on cash right now though.
Has anybody ever bought new electronics on EBay? Experiences? Edit: Nice price on the Mirage. Last edited by Boon; 07-20-2008 at 04:22 PM.. |

I never met him (on the net or in life)... so I decided to search out some of his posts to see what he was like... your bumped thread on Browning gave me the idea... this seems like some strange "last words" to go out on.
