Hoyte's always been a LB, I thought. It was the Cowboys that converted him to FB...
I will say that I liked what I saw out of Cox. I think he's a solid checkdown option. He needs to work on his blocking assignments but I only noticed him screwing the pooch once. By the way, I can only see good things from WR coach Eric Price. We've sucked at that position for an extremely long time, and Price has found a way to develop the route-running of virtually every WR on this team. If we continue to see improvement from this corps, I believe he could take over for Gailey when the time comes... |

I'm not so sure I wouldn't try and just let Robinson slip onto the practice squad. Let Savage and Charles do most of the returns, and let Price battle it out for a WR spot. Dude looks pretty good. No one has seen Robinson, so I can't imagine any team wanting to give up a top 53 roster spot on an unseen 6th round draft pick. |

Well if Robinson is as good as he's supposed to be they want him on the field returning kicks. So far no one has stood out. Charles did have a good KO return Thursday tho.

And I would assume Robinson and Merritt could be PUP possibilities as well considering the amount of time they have missed. |

I admit I have never seen Robinson play but his 40 time is horrible (worse than our 6'8" TE, IIRC). On paper, he wouldn't strike me as a lock for the roster. If he is hurt and others are maximizing their opportunities then they, not he, should make the team. We have a roster full of young WRs and RBs; I'm pretty sure we can find someone to do the returns.

Warpaint is exactly how I wound up on this site. After reading their stuff I kept thinking "damn me and my fellow fans seem to have better insight on whats going on with this team and the players". Jumped on this forum and bingo !, much more accurate, insightful, and up to date info for the most part.

You know Charles is going to make the team, and would make more sense to use him for kickoff returns, IMO - instead of a guy in Robinson that would never see the field as a WR take a roster spot just to return kicks. I'd prefer to only carry 4 true specialists: Barth Colquitt Darche Sams That gives someone like Price the opportunity to make the roster if they earn it, instead of being pushed out over a guy who's only job is to return kicks. |

The problem is that I really dont think he knows much about football. I read his analysis of things and there is always something in there that is just so monumentally dumb that I wonder how the rest of the staff can tolerate him. And he is also a homer to the Nth degree, which doesnt help at all. |
