Samie Parker a Panther

Panthers sign WR Parker
The Panthers signed veteran WR Samie Parker, who was released by Denver on Monday.

Parker, 27, adds speed and experience to a wide receiver position that needs help, especially with Jason Carter out.

Parker caught, a former track sprinter at Oregon, caught 110 passes in four seasons with Kansas City.

He signed with Denver in the offseason, but didn't fit into the Broncos' West Coast offense.

The Panthers hope he'll be a better fit in their scheme. He could also get a look as a kick returner.

To make room for Parker on the roster, the Panthers released WR Sean Bailey, formerly of Georgia.

Yep. You know, when you look at some of the decisions made by the Old Man Of The Vineyard, you just have to scratch your head.

Yeah, when I looked at the article and seen that he caught 110 passes for the chiefs,I kinda scratched my head. I really don't remember him catching that many for us.

Not just the pick, but staying with him for so long when it was clearly obvious that he wasn't improving. If anything, he got worse. Did he ever score a touchdown for us?

I think so. Didn't he have a long TD catch against the Broncos at Arrowhead one year? I could swear he did. Maybe it was just a long catch that set up a TD though,im not really sure.

Yeah,I think it was against the Jags. Come to think of it,it was a really ugly looking pass. I just seen it the other day on espn I think. It just kind wobbled itself through the air and came down to a wide open Parker. It was our only score of the game to,I think we lost 17-7

Well, that's good. I couldn't remember. When I think of Samie, I think of 3rd and 8 and he catches the ball for a 4 yard gain and immediately goes down, pops back up, spikes the ball, and celebrates. That's if he catches it at all. Honestly, I don't know why DV kept him around.
