MU MU/OSU Final INT - Page 2

I thought it might get lost in the game thread. OSU was still the better team, but it would have been nice to see the game played to the end.

Sucks to lose a game on a call like that. We don't know whether that would have led to another score or if OSU would've cleanly stopped a Mizzou drive later, but stuff like that leaves too many things open for speculation.

Moot point now, however.

what sucks is the downfield camera operator didn't follow the ball to the ground, so the best angle didn't even catch the ball.

I wanted Mizzou to win the game, but you can't blame the refs for not overturning it...

Yeah, the best camera angle didn't have the ball in the shot until it was too late.

I guess I find it hard to see him pinning it against his stomach when I see the majority of the ball on the ground.

you don't understand how replay works do you?

that picture is not indisputable. you cannot see either of his hands. yes, the ball is on the ground, but that alone does not preclude it from being a catch.

refs aren't asked for their beliefs, they can ONLY go with what is on the screen, and IMHO that pic does not INDISPUTABLY prove he never caught the ball.

I guess you can add this to the 5th down, Tyus Edney's Layup, Nebraska Kick TD, etc.

I saw the game and watched it on Tivo. I don't know if he really caught it, but I don't think you can say with certainty he didn't.

Like I said, refs don't operate on belief or conjecture, only what is shown on replay and they can only overturn the call on the field if it is 100% indisputable.
