Life 13.5 years in my house and... - Page 2

...I made my first fall down the stairs tonight.

I don't even know what happened. One second I was fine, and the next I was down. I was barefoot and I think I accidentally stepped on my pant leg and it slipped forward off the step.

My right elbow and left pinkie took minor hits, and my left big toe took a moderate hit, but the big damage was to my left pinkie toe. I have no idea what it hit.

Nothing broken, but my pinkie toe isn't happy right now.

I even managed to make a right turn at the landing and keep falling.

It's not a frequent as I make it sound, but I should really push that thing farther under. Walking around a cluttered living room inebriated doesn't help either.

Ow. I did that before (fell backwards onto the edge of a cheap couch). Nothing you can do but feel the pain and wait for it to heal. It's not like you can get a cast put on your ass.

Someday I hope to have a house that's nice enough and clean enough to be able to do that, but that isn't going to happen until the kid and dog are gone.
