Anquan Boldin to KC?!?

There is a ESPN insider link on the front of ESPN.com talking about Boldin and James possibly coming to KC. Any one else heard any rumors? I would LOVE to have Boldin. If someone on here has ESPN Insider access, please share with the message board what this article is all about. Thanks.

I'd rather have Boldin and LaBoy. James can go play for the Donkeys.

That's exactly what it is - another BS speculation post that amounts to, "this scenario would make sense."

Chance Boldin Stays "Pretty High"
Graves says he believes Pro Bowl wideout will remain a Cardinal
By DARREN URBAN

General manager Rod Graves said Friday he thinks wide receiver Anquan Boldin (pictured) will stay in Arizona.

General manager Rod Graves said Friday given the dearth of trade offers for wide receiver Anquan Boldin, the probability of Boldin remaining with the Cardinals is “pretty high.”

“Our priority has always been to extend Anquan at some point and we felt before doing so we had to at least explore opportunities a trade might present,” Graves said. “We have done that and the process is still not over, but it looks as if him staying with us and at least the possibility of an extension seems more of a reality than a trade.”

Graves said the Cardinals have received exactly one trade offer – he did not say from which team or what the offer was – but the Cards “didn’t feel it was very significant at all and we have had no other interest expressed.”

Later, Graves said the trade offer -- which was on Thursday -- “didn’t come close to something we would consider.”

Graves' comments were made at about the same time of an ESPN report that said teams had renewed interest in Boldin because the Cardinals had now lowered their demand in a trade to a second-round pick.

Graves has consistently declined to talk about what the Cardinals would accept in a trade.

The chance of the draft ramping up interest in Boldin is still possible, Graves acknowledged. He also said while he has had “a couple of conversations” with Boldin’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, for updating purposes, Rosenhaus has not been included in the process.

“We won’t trade (Boldin) unless it’s for commensurate value,” Graves said. “We are a strong football team with him, and the probability of him remaining with us is pretty high.”

Quarterback Kurt Warner, working out at the team facility Friday, reiterated his belief the Cardinals needed to keep Boldin and not trade him. Warner believes there isn’t a realistic trade package that would balance out losing Boldin.

Q showed up today
I'm not sure where Anquan Boldin's head is in terms of his contract, but in terms of the mystery (if there ever really was one) of whether he would come to minicamp, he indeed was at the facility today to get his physical. Doesn't make much sense to do that if he isn't going to come to minicamp. We'll have to double-check tomorrow, but with Boldin and Darnell Dockett both coming today, it looks like there won't be any absences for the mandatory minicamp.

Now, whether Boldin practices, we'll have to see. He came down with a sore hamstring at last year's minicamp -- about the time his contract issues first reached a boil. There might be some maladies for those seeking new contracts. Again, we will see. At least the drama of a missing guy will be avoided, and I would assume Boldin -- and to a lesser extent, Dockett -- will be tops on the media's interview list after practice.

I know he's just a player, but Larry Fitzgerald was CERTAIN Boldin wouldn't be going anywhere.

Spare me with the "not this shit again". I am posting about a front page headline on ESPN.com. I think it holds substantial value if it on the freaking front page.

That would be sweet. These stories are just getting annoying. I'd gladly accept Anquan Boldin for a draft pick. I'd honestly keep LJ..

Chiefs pursuing Boldin and Edge?
ESPN’s Bill Williamson suggests that the Chiefs could be looking at both Anquan Boldin and Edgerrin James this summer. With Larry Johnson’s decline and the addition of Matt Cassel, Boldin would also appear to be an excellent fit with the Chiefs. Then again, where wouldn’t Boldin be a good fit? (ESPN.com)

BOLDIN, DOCKETT HAVE HAMSTRING ISSUES?
Posted by Aaron Wilson on May 1, 2009, 4:53 p.m. EDT
Consider the Arizona Cardinals a bit suspicious about two alleged hamstring injuries, according to Darren Urban of the team’s official Web site.

The respective hamstrings belong to disgruntled wide receiver Anquan Boldin and defensive lineman Darnell Dockett, two starters who are unhappy with their contract situations. And the team doesn’t consider the leg injuries to be a mere coincidence.

“We all know what this about,” Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt told reporters.

According to the report, Boldin and Dockett are going to get precautionary magnetic resonance imaging exams after telling team officials they have hamstring issues.

Per the article, “The math is probably easy to do here.”

Meanwhile, Cardinals franchise linebacker Karlos Dansby attended practice, but didn’t participate. He noted that teammates joked with him that they thought he was a holdout.

Dansby is in negotiations with team officials after being assigned a one-year, $9.7 million franchise tag.

I might be the only one to think it - but I don't like his attitude. It's not a gameday attitude thing, it's an all the time, "why ain't that camera on me" attitude, and personally, that makes me question acquiring that presence in a locker room. I've seen the guy play, and he's an elite talent - you can never argue with what that guy did last year....with a broken face. I've heard him speak and he can be either really intelligent and humble....OR......he can also spit up team-killers if he gets upset about how many targets he's seeing, or the millionses he ain't be gettin...

I realize they're professionals, but what I don't want is Terrible Owens part deux. He's also turns 29 in October, that's prime time still...hell, I'd feel safe expecting at least 4 maybe 5 years of extremely high production, save for any major setback....so maybe it's worth it, but he's not the Randy Moss.
