Chiefsplanet runners - best set-up for iPod headphones?

This winter I have become addicted to having music on while I run. I have an iPod, but no headphones that hold up to running. One thing I don't like are headphones that plug in like earplugs.

Anybody have headphones they particularly love? How do you tote your iPod while running? Thanks for any help.

When you say earplug style are you referring to the traditional earbuds that come with the ipod?

I use these for jogging with my nano and they work great:

http://in.creative.com/products/prod...&product=11397

I just run the wire down the inside of my shirt and put the nano in one of my front pockets. The nano is small/light enough that I don't notice it in my pocket at all.

Yeah, pretty anything that I have to plug into my earhole, I don't like. I just think it feels weird and usually find it difficult getting them to fit just right.

I just have the basic ipod earphones. They work fine except the cord occasionally gets caught in my hand, which is annoying.

I've used them for about two years, but I think they're dying. Sometimes I get sound in both earphones, and most of the time it's in one or the other but not both.

They're definitely shorting out. The Ipod headphones were my favorite corded headphones ever. They fit perfectly in my ear (which is the only time that's happened with earbuds) and they put out a great level of sound.

They're shorting out. If you weren't such a sweaty manly man, all would be good.

As for your cord deal, I assume you have the ipod in your pocket? Just run the cord down your back and hang the earbuds over your shoulder before you put your shirt on. That will keep them out of the way.

Same here. The in-ear headphones are fine when I'm not moving around, but they always fall out when I exercise. That's why I like the ones I posted. They're super-lightweight and stay in place.

The basic ipod earphones hurt my ears after 15 or 20 minutes of wearing them. I found some cheap JVC earbuds that feel so comfortable that I frequently sleep with them in my ears.

I have these. I don't run much, so I can't attest to that aspect, but they are highly superior to traditional earbuds. That rubber end makes all the difference in the world as far as hurting your ears.

I have heard JVC Marshmellows are pretty damn good for their price.

Just started using these but so far they are great. No cords, very good sound, stays put while you are running.

I have these.

They cost $18.99 now, but were $12 when I got them.

Check the different color options. You can get white for $13. They are so comfortable and fit snug. Also they come with 3 different sets of the rubber part that goes in your ear in case you have a bigger earhole or smaller than the nomral size.
