When it comes to UW vs. Oregon, it don't matter what the game is.

So do universities ever *deny* someone permission to talk to their coach? Is it an NCAA rule that you can't talk to a coach unless you have permission?

While it is true that Oregon has Nike, Mizzou has Wal-Mart (Kroenke and his Wife).
Don't forget they paid for the entire arena... they love basketball more than football and if it comes down to money, I am sure they will find a way to help the program keep Anderson.

Anderson got a raise from 750k a year to 1.5 mil base and 2 mil with incentives last year after getting offers from Georgia and Memphis that are similar to what Oregon is reportedly offering him.

I dont think you can deny a coach from advancement unless there's a clause in his contract. And by advancement I mean $$$

First I will say that I hope Anderson stays at MU; however let's look at the facts.
1. Never turn down the chance to listen to another offer. That would be bad personal business. 2. Phil & Co. will put a lot more $$$$$'s into Oregon than Stan & Co. will ever put into MU. Both salary and facilities. 3. Anderson would have the opportunity to be top dog in the PAC 10. That won't happen in the Big 12. Self and Barns are already there, and Drew and Martin have already finished ahead in the standings. Every coach wants to be the top dog. |

I hope Anderson stays, because MU fans heads would assplode, if he leaves. Then they would be more hateful than ever.
We can't have hateful Mizzouchebags running around hatin'. |

If he leaves it would crush the basketball program. It also would show that they won't pony up some more to keep him. I don't think it would take much at this point. He is too important to MU to lose. He does alot with little imo.
