just got home from 6 days on the river. got sober last night so i could come to work this morning. get off tonight and go home to mow the yard and start drinking again. new flag up on the pole. probably go to a parade, then have the kids come down for a bbq and wienie roast. off monday too. i'll spend it picking up burnt shit in the yard.

A little bummed; used to live in a fairly rural part of MO; used to be able to light off stuff all day/night etc.

Not so much now that we’re in an apartment in JoCo KS.

Going over to the in-laws in Cass Co MO; people in Belton / Raymore do not mess around. We just sit outside and watch the show from all the neighbors. I bet each household spends $500-1k on fireworks out there.

It’s insane.

I bought an obscene amount of fireworks this year. Unfortunately, Colorado has some really strict law regarding fireworks, so it's mostly fountains and stuff.

Uh....yeah. Make sure you get far away. Did that one time in my youth. The aerosol can was empty. Threw it in the fire and waited and waited and waited. After what seemed like forever, it finally exploded. Damn thing put out the fire and the hot coal fragments burnt holes in our tent.
