Seriously, someone explain why holding rarely gets called against Hali?

We have seen it time and time again. Game after game. Play after play. Game threads are filled with pages of people (including myself) complaining about flags not being thrown for holding Tamba Hali.

So what is it we are missing or not understanding? What constitutes a hold and what is a legal block that apparently looks like holding to a lot of us here?

Are the Refs really turning a blind eye that often? Or are we as fans just not understanding the rules?

I guess I just don't pay attention as much when watching other teams.

Simple,it's about high scoring games. That's why the D can't lead with a helmet, but any running back can. That's why the D can't touch a face mask, but a running back can. It's why the NFL goes to any length to protect QBs, but really doesn't worry all that much about anybody on the line. They want to protect players, but they won't outlaw the very crossing routes that get them killed. They won't counter "protecting" QBs by saying they also can't run. But if they do, you can't hit them hard. Fair? You have to be a fool to think the game isn't geared toward the offensive side of the ball. But who wants to see a 7-3 game more often than not? Me... But let's ask why a Defensive PI call can can be a 10, 20, 30, he11 a 60 yard penalty; but what is a Offensive PI?

Back to Hali; why do they (the NFL and their hired goons named the officials) care about him? They don't! He's not a superstar yet. When he is, and he's getting closer, they will. I should say, when he is in their minds...

But he also has to be a lot more vocal with the officials and stop taking the high road. Cry like Manning... Don't be disrespectful, but talk to them plenty, then ask you coach to back you up with a tape sent to the NFL on Monday.

But don't get me started, I'll give you my opinion...

And you can thank the popularity of fantasy football for all of that.

Why don't they just go ahead and allow holding in some forms, by rule.

You really think a game, based almost entirely on offensive statistics, whose popularity has exponentially increased interest in the NFL over the past decade, has nothing to do with those rule changes? You must not have a clue.

Holding won't be called unless a defensive player is tackled or pushed to the ground in clear view of a ref.

Get over it.
